    H.M. the Sultan Receives More Condolences Cables


    Muscat, June 11 (ONA)--- His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said has received more cables of condolences from leaders of brotherly and friendly countries on the victims of the tropical cyclone /Gonu/ which struck some regions of the Sultanate recently.
    His Majesty received the condolences cables from:
    President Mohammed Hosni Mubarak, of the Arab Republic of Egypt, President Pervez Musharaf, of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, of the Philippines, President Amani Abeid Karume, of Zanzibar, Noori al-Maliki, Premier of the Republic of Iraq, Shawkat Aziz, Premier of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and Amr Moosa, Secretary-General of the Arab League.

    In their cables, they expressed their sincere condolences and true sympathy to His Majesty, the government, the Omani people and to the bereaved families, praying to the Almighty to give mercy to the victims and rest them in peace, grant the injured quick recovery and to protect His Majesty and the Omani people against any harm.
